Case History: Mast.Yogesh Sasane 19 month old boy, suffering from an Ill-Defined multi cystic lesion right side cystic hygroma neck. Cystic hygroma is a congenital abnormality of the lymphatic vessels. The primitive lymph sacs develop in the mesoblast at about the sixth week of embryonic life, the principal pair being situated in the neck between the jugular and subclavian veins. It probably arises either from the sequestration of primitive embryonic lymphatic tissue or form a congenital blocking of the regional lymph drainage. Complete surgical excision of the lesion at an early age is the treatment of choice. Doctors have informed them that he requires surgery as early as possible. The patient is being operated on in Aims Hospital & Research Center in Pune.

Family Background: His father works in a scrap shop and his mother is a housewife. His father’s monthly income is only 13000/- per month. Since his father had to take care of the family and they are dependent on him, he is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment.
