Case History: Miss Sejal Bhopale, 4 years old female, is diagnosed with congenital heart disease is a general term for a range of birth defect that affects the normal way the heart work. The term “congenital” means the condition is present from birth. A child may need open heart surgery or minimally invasive heart surgery to repair a congenital heart defect. The patient is being operated on in Jehangir Hospital – Pune.

Family Background: Her father works as a labourer in farm while her mother is a homemaker. Their monthly family income is 4500/- in their family total six members are living, which is insufficient to cover the cost of medical expenses. Due to his responsibilities towards the family and they are dependent on him, her father cannot afford the treatment cost.
