Case History: Mast Samarth Jorvar, 5yrs an old boy who is suffering from Partial AV Canal. There’s a hole in the heart’s wall between the upper chambers. There are also changes in the tricuspid and mitral valves. Surgery is needed to treat a complete or partial atrioventricular canal defect more than one surgery may be needed. Surgery involves using one or two parts to close the hole in the heart wall. The patient is being operated on in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Centre Byculla – Mumbai.

Family Background: His father works as a farmer and his mother is a housewife. His father’s monthly income is only 3000/-. Since his father had to take care of the family and they are dependent on him, he is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment of his son.
