Case History: Miss Priyanshi Gavit, 7yrs an old female is suffering from large fenestrated OS ASD. An atrial septal defect (ASD) that involves a hole in the atrial septum. This muscular wall separates the two upper chambers of the heart. Small ASD’s usually don’t need treatment, large ones require percutaneous repair or surgery to lower the risk of serious complications. Doctors have informed them that he requires open heart surgery as early as possible. The patient is being operated in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Center Byculla – Mumbai.

Family Background: Her father works as a farmer and her mother is a housewife. Her father’s monthly income is only 3500/- per month. Since her father had to take care of the family and they are dependent on him, he is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment of her daughter.
