Case History: Baby Payal Satyawan Bhui, a 4-year-old female, is diagnosed with a Moderate sized perimembranous VSD. VSD is a hole in the wall that separates the lower chamber of the heart. These chambers are called ventricles. Surgery is required to patch or stitch to close the hole. The patient is being operated on in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Centre Byculla – Mumbai.

Family Background: Her father works as a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Their monthly family income is 7500/- which is insufficient to cover the cost of medical expenses. Due to his responsibilities towards the family and they are dependent on him, her father cannot afford the treatment cost.
