Case History: Miss. Lajri Awaghade, a 7-year-old female, is diagnosed with a Congenital Acyanotic Heart Disease. Acyanotic heart disease is where the blood contains enough oxygen but it’s pumped abnormally around the body. Babies born with acyanotic heart disease may not have any apparent symptoms but, over time, the condition can cause health problems. Child need open-heart surgery or minimally invasive heart surgery to repair a congenital heart defect. The patient is being operated on in Jehangir Hospital – Pune.

Family Background: Her father works as a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Their monthly family income is 7000/- which is insufficient to cover the cost of medical expenses. Due to this the responsibilities towards the family and they are dependent on him, her father cannot afford the treatment cost.
