Case History: Miss Joya S Pathan, 9 year 11 Months old female. Who is suffering from moderate large Perimembranous VSD. It’s a common congenital heart defect that is unique in its proximity to the aortic valve, AV valves, and conductive tissue. The AV node-located in the posterior upper membranous ventricular septum – branches into the left and right bundles in the posterior lower margin. Surgery require to repair a ventricular septal defect involves open heart surgery and placement of a prosthetic patch, sutured in place, that covers the defect. The heart tissue grows over the patch so the heart never outgrows it. The patient is being operated on in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Centre Byculla – Mumbai.

Family Background: Her father works as a farmer and her mother is a housewife. Her father’s monthly income is only 5000/-. Since her father had to take care of the family and they are dependent on him, he is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment of his daughter.
