Case History: Mast. Chirag Ghogare, 4 month old boy, is suffering from Congenital Heart Disease, large subaortic ventricular septal defect severe pulmonary hypertension. VSD is a hole in the heart. It’s a common heart problem present at birth (congenital heart defect). The hole occurs in the wall that separates the heart’s lower chambers. This is the preferred procedure for repairing most ventricular septal defects. A surgeon uses a patch or stitches to close the hole between the lower heart chambers. The patient is being operated on in Jehangir Hospital – Pune.

Family Background: His father works as a labourer and his mother is a housewife. His father’s monthly income is 11000/- since his parent’s financial condition is very poor and they have seven members in his family. They are dependent on his father, he is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment of his son.
