Case History: Master Soham Kamble is a 10-year-old boy, who has been diagnosed with a Trans catheter PDA closure is a minimally invasive (non-surgical) procedure to close the ductus arteriosus. Specialized heart doctors called pediatric cardiac interventionists use a procedure called cardiac catheterization to place a small device in the vessel, which closes the PDA. Medical intervention such as a procedure or heart surgery may be necessary to close the defect. The patient is scheduled to undergo the operation at Jehangir Hospital in Pune.

Family Background: His father works as a Labourer and his mother is a housewife. His father’s monthly income is 7,000/- since his parent’s financial condition is very poor and they have six members in their family. They are dependent on his father; he is not in a position to bear the cost of his son’s treatment.
