Case History: Miss Shradha Dhotre, 5 year old female, is diagnosed with a large subaortic VSD with bidirectional shunt with severe infundibular and valvar PS. VSD is a hole in the wall that separates the lower chamber of the heart. Surgery is required to patch or stitch to close the hole. The patient is being operated on in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Centre Byculla – Mumbai.

Family Background  Her father works as a water pipeline fitter while her mother is a homemaker. Their monthly family income is 7000/- which is insufficient to cover the cost of medical expenses. Due to his responsibilities towards the family and their dependence on him, her father cannot afford the treatment cost.
