Five Years Old Arpita Giram Needs Your Support To Fight For Life
Case History: Baby Arpita Giram, 5 year old female. Who is suffering from moderate large Os ASD with a left to right shunt. An atrial septal defect (ASD) is an opening in the interatrial septum, causing a left to right shunt and volume overload of the right atrium and right ventricle. ASD can be closed through surgery, larger ASDs should be repaired even if they aren’t causing symptoms. This prevents serious complications down the road. A surgical repair usually involves using a tissue patch to close the ASD. The patient is being operated in Balaji Heart Hospital and Diagnostic Centre Byculla – Mumbai.
Family Background: Her father works as a labourer and her mother is a homemaker. Together, their monthly income of 3500 rupees is too little to cover the costs of his daughter’s medical treatment—this means he must take care of other family members first before being able to afford any treatment for his own child.
Appeal to the Donors: Therefore, please lend your generous support so that we can cure baby Arpita Giram. Her treatment cost approximately Rs. 2, 50,000/- from admission to discharge including investigation Pre and Post- doctor charges. You can help us with your contribution by donating to Save Tears Foundation via ONLINE/CHQUES/DD.
